New development in intra-sewer squabble

Still no resolution to the squabble among the membership of the Joint Regional Sewer Authority as to the makeup the group’s policy-making board.  However, after a Seneca meeting last night, Scott Moulder intimidated some optimism as he reported Seneca City Council has authorized a new letter to the JRSA and the other member cities.  At the heart of a dispute which has included the threat of a lawsuit and a mediation proceeding is Seneca’s position that, as the largest user and largest billpayer, Oconee’s largest municipality should have greater clout to policy decisions.  The smaller municipal members have so far resisted, and all sides have lawyered up.
