New asphalt covering section of s. SC 11

Parts of SC 11 between S. Union and the interchange at West-Oak High School were reduced to one-lane yesterday afternoon, as workers from King Asphalt were applying a new asphalt cover to a busy two-lane highway marked by surface fractures.  King Asphalt’s Marty McKee says it is a re-surfacing job that’ll require between two and four more weeks.  McKee is making arrangements to position flashing blue lights in and around the work area as a reminder for passing motorists to take care and caution around the workers and their heavy equipment.
