Natural gas ban subject of a Texas hearing

A controversy on (LNG) liquified natural gas exports that divides Democratic and Republican leaders will play out next week during a congressional hearing in Texas, organized in part by the South Carolina’s 3rd District representative, Jeff Duncan.  Republican Duncan, along with West Virginia’s Cathy McMorris Rodgers, announces a field hearing Monday, April 8 in Port Arthur, Texas, titled, “Biden’s LNG Export Ban:  How Rush-to-Green Politics Hurts Local Communities and U-S Energy Security.”  Early this year the Biden administration announced a pause on applications for new LNG, calling the pause necessary to analyze how the exports impact the environment.
