Multiple drug charges filed against highway 11 driver
Multiple drug charges have been placed against a driver from West Union – the result of a traffic stop by the Walhalla police just before 1 am Wednesday. The police today released copies of arrest warrants naming Michael Scott Lione, 39 years old. A patrol officer said because of an obscured license plate, he was alerted to a Dodge Dakota truck on s. highway 11 that crossed a double yellow line into an oncoming lane of travel. According to the police report, a Walhalla police canine dog conducted a sniff of the truck and afterward the police expanded the traffic stop into a violation of the drug laws.
