Movement on the Oconee bond issue

Oconee County now has on hand the proceeds from a multi-million dollar bond issue, from which county government can draw monies for infrastructure purposes.  Chief among them apparently is the county’s intent to extend sewer to I-85.  The bond sale has been consummated.  An email today from Ladale Price of the county finance office to county administrator Amanda Brock reads as follows:  “Official Closing Document Date – November 2, 2023.  Received funding – November 2, 2023.  Treasurer Greg Nowell invested the funds on November 28, 02023.”
