More than 100 dogs seized in Pickens County, arrest made

A woman in rural Pickens County has been arrested and charged with ill treatment of animals in a sheriff’s office investigation of an alleged “puppy mill” at 281 Tater Hill Mountain Road.  According to the Pickens Sheriff’s Office, personnel removed 166 dogs from the property and arrested Judith Lynn Brown on charges of ill treatment of animals and animal/rabies control chapter violation.  The sheriff’s office described 68-year old Brown cooperative and said she surrendered at the detention center yesterday.
