Matthew Durham weighs-in on new budget

County government gets a new budget.  Oconee’s new spending plan was affirmed in a 3-1 vote last night, after county council opened the floor for public comment.  The councilmen got brief comment from Matthew Durham, their suspended colleague, who spoke as part of the public hearing.  Durham registered opposition to some recreation spending, the addition of a code officer, as well as opposition to county money for “Oconee Help.”  The council approved the budget.  The one vote of dissent came from District Five’s Glenn Hart, who took part in the meeting remotely.
