Major shoplifting crime

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s help today in an investigation into the theft, via a shoplifting, of almost $12,000.00
dollars in merchandise from the Ulta Beauty location in Hartwell Village.
The Sheriff’s Office is also seeking the public’s help in identifying persons of interest in the investigation. A Deputy from the Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement (P.A.C.E.) Team responded to incident location Saturday afternoon. The Deputy was informed, by an employee, that three females came into the store during the evening hours last Thursday,  and shoplifted items from the store.
According to information obtained during the investigation, it appears that the females filled bags with items, left the store, and then returned back inside the store on multiple occasions. It also appears as if one of the females changed their appearance upon entering and reentering the store. The case has been turned over the Criminal Investigations Bureau. The Investigator has also

learned that a white Toyota SUV, unknown year and model, was seen circling the parking lot of Hartwell Village while the crime was occurring.
Based upon an inventory, conducted by Ulta Beauty of the items that were taken, the approximate amount of cosmetics and fragrances stolen is $11,968.00 dollars.
