Low state senator hurt during military deployment

State Senator Thomas Alexander, Walhalla Republican, announces that a low state senator, Stephen Goldfinch Jr., of Murrells Inlet has been injured in Africa and was being transported to Germany for surgery.  Identified as a captain in the National Guard, Goldfinch is reported to have been hurt during a military deployment in the African continent.  Alexander, Senate president, in a memo to the state senators, said, “His (Goldinch’s) injuries are not life threatening but will require some surgery.  I would ask that you join me in keeping Senator Goldfinch and his family in our prayers and thoughts today and in the days ahead.”
