Local chamber boss starts a “four-year journey”

The president of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce, Dari McBride, has gone to Athens, Georgia for 96 hours’ coursework which she believes is going to help her grow and, therefore, build the Oconee organization into the best in its long history of supporting and advocating business.  McBride is part of the Institute for Organization Management and, as such, finds herself in the company of more than 250 other professionals — many of whom were fellow chamber executives across the country.  Here are some of McBride’s comments in the current chamber “County Connector” email:  “Several things stood out to me, including how supportive our board is in their willingness to give their time, talent and connections to further our impact.  The second thing I observed is how quickly we have rebounded from COVID and are increasing attendance at events, growing in partners and bringing in new investors.”
