Limiting ‘forever chemicals’ in drinking water

A government agency believes most people in the U-S have ‘forever chemicals’, known by the initials P-F-A-S or PFAS — in their blood.  EPA is pushing limits because PFAS barely degrade and nearly impossible to destroy and have been linked to cancers and heart disease, among other conditions.  DHEC, the South Carolina health agency, is calling attention to a requirement for water suppliers to monitor for the chemicals.
