Letter from sheriff’s group is no scam

If you receive a letter in the mail from the South Carolina Sheriff’s Association, the letter is authentic.  Some people who’ve called the Oconee Sheriff’s Office have wondered.  The state Sheriff’s Association is in its spring membership drive, says Oconee Sheriff Mike Crenshaw, and the drive is aimed at potential new members or renewals.  Crenshaw is a former president of the statewide group.  The association supports South Carolina’s 46 county sheriffs as they coordinate enforcement efforts, provide tools and training, and advocate for law enforcement at both the state and federal levels.  Contributions do not go directly to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office. If you’d like to make a direct donation to the  Oconee’s office, you can do that thru the Oconee Sheriff’s Foundation.
