Large truck wrecks on the Seneca-Clemson corridor

A westbound section of 123, the Seneca-Clemson corridor, re-opened during the night, as crews were able to remove a large, wrecked truck and the resulting highway debris.  The large truck wound up on its side, but there were no immediate indications that anyone was hurt.  101.7/WGOG NEWS sent a request to the state patrol for details of the afternoon accident that occurred shortly before rush time.  Nevertheless, westbound traffic came to a solid halt east from the Wells Highway traffic lights beyond the Lake Keowee dealerships.  Eventually, sheriff’s officers were able to divert traffic bound for Seneca on either the Davis Creek Road or secondary 1, the old Clemson-Seneca Highway.
