Large acreage changes hands in upper Oconee

More than 200 acres have changed hands in an upper section of Oconee County.  The county Register of Deeds confirms it was a $6 million transaction, the largest so far this year, involving two limited liability companies:  KDC RE LLC and Falls Park at McKinney’s Creek.  The property is described in the vicinity of the Sumter National Forest and bordering McKinney Falls Parkway, a road inside the Cliffs at Keowee Vineyard.  McKinney’s Falls is apparently a privately-owned waterfall, access to which is granted by permission only.
