Lake Keowee couples in civil trial

Lake Keowee neighbors find themselves in court to settle a dispute.  Testimony opened this afternoon at the Oconee Courthouse in Scott Balsitis vs. Wade and Kimberly Walker.  The two parties are looking for an Oconee jury to settle their dispute.  Scott and Anita Balsitis allege that the Walkers are responsible for failing to take necessary precautions to prevent mud, silt, and debris from eroding their property at 116 Mandalay Way.  The attorney for the Walkers, however, in his opening statement, urged the jurors to not be swayed about the facts until all of the testimony and evidence are entered in the trial.  First witness called by the plaintiff’s side was property manager April Cope.
