Labor Day closings

Monday is Labor Day — a national holiday.  And a number of government services are adjusting their schedules.  All Oconee libraries are closed Saturday through Monday.  Book returns slots remain open and due dates are being adjusted. Oconee’s recycling centers and the C&D Landfill are closed on Monday.  They will do business on regular schedule Saturday.  After Labor Day on Monday, all locations resume operations at normal time the next day, Tuesday.  Walhalla sanitation customers who receive service on Mondays should know that their trash will be collected on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.  Russ Price, public works director, requests that affected customers should have their roll carts out by 7 o’clock Tuesday morning.  All other Walhalla routes remain unchanged.  Clemson city public works will run normal routes on Monday.  Customers there should have their carts out by 7 am.
