Kenny Johns heads out on the political comeback trail

West Union mail carrier Kenny Johns became the first and, so far, only known candidate to complete an unexpired term on the Walhalla City Council.  Johns qualified on Friday, according to the office of county elections.  Unless there are additional entries in the waning hours of qualifying today, Johns will enter the special November election the only ballot candidate to succeed Tyler Jordan, who resigned.  Johns would bring a mass of political experience to the office.  He’s a former city councilman and mayor and served as the county’s probate judge until 2021, after losing the position by suspension.
