Joel Ward apologizes to fellow municipal colleagues

The failure of the Oconee Municipal Association to meet over the last four years was described last night as unfortunate and a hindrance to progress the county’s municipal leaders could make toward better government within the county’s five towns and cities.  Seneca Councilman  Joel Ward, chosen to lead the municipal association in 2018, took the blame for not calling meetings. “We shouldn’t have been apart this long.  I just wanted to apologize tonight to the association and to the cities for the goals I missed,” Ward told last night’s assemblage at the start of the meeting.
