Jim’s “the Mann” for the GOP

Jim Mann overcame a challenge and held onto the chair of the Oconee Republican Party.  In balloting Saturday, the county’s conventioneers gave him a 75-vote margin over his challenger, Roel Cruz.  Some 241 Republicans were seated and deemed qualified Saturday morning to vote to fill the offices of their county party for 2023.  Other results:  Rachel Moore prevailed over Karen Powell for vice chairman; and Terri Meyerring bested Jane Chaney and Karl Reebenacker as the county’s state executive committee person.
