Jet-lagged Duncan bats issues with his party faithful

Most of 120 chairs were full, and some chose to stand, last night in the meeting room of the Walhalla American Legion to hear 3rd District Republican Representative Jeff Duncan speak on a day that, to an extent, rivaled the Columbia area appearance of Democratic President Joe Biden.  Although admittedly jet-lagged, Duncan ran through a series of issues that he believes important for the country, including the need to solidify energy resources that were highlighted Christmas Eve when temperatures fell to single-digits and narrowly avoided what he said could have been a blackout across South Carolina.  But, on the eve of the next presidential election year, Duncan also turned his attention to a flying-fist style of politics being played by both his party and the rival Democrats.  The Laurens Republican told his Walhalla audience that he and fellow Republicans are in the process of trying to build an impeachment case against the sitting president, Joe Biden, but predicted that first an impeachment attempt will be tried against the administration’s Homeland Security director.  Duncan declared that illegal aliens are invading the U-S from across the southern border and that it is the spot where fentanyl is being smuggled into the country.
