Is a $60 per diem payment adequate?

Oconee’s sewer commissioners revisited – without a decision – the allowance they are given for their service in their part-time roles.  The commission currently receives a per diem allowance of $60 dollars a month.  Yesterday their executive director, Chris Eleazer, introduced the idea of possibly raising the amount.  No firm conclusions were reached, although there was the suggestion that the issue be taken up as part of an ongoing study to determine future re-structuring of the Joint Regional Sewer Authority.
