In the cards for Seneca, a new event center

South of the railroad in Seneca a church is to be remodeled into an event center.  The city planning commission last night gave the property owner, Robert Pierson, approval of a zoning change at 936 S. Depot Street from residential zoning to neighborhood commercial. The vote goes in the form of a recommendation to the city council.  Pierson is a builder and remodeler, and he’s planning an event center that can accommodate weddings, social gatherings, and the like.
