In a word the weather is “ugly”

Around 5 pm, the South Carolina severe weather liaison, Frank Strait, predicts thunderstorms will reach the far northwest corner of the state and march steadily southeastward tonight.  The area for concern is the Upstate, Catawba area, the northern Midlands and northern Central Savannah River area.  If you’re traveling, Strait’s recommendation, is stay vigilant for threatening weather.  Across far North Georgia and into Tennessee, high winds will be a concern for those traveling through the Appalachians.
