Important post at the front of city hall

Seneca has determined the amphitheater proposed within one-half mile of downtown will have no significant impact on the human environment, according to a notice posted at the front door of city hall.  The two-page notice gives notice that on or about January 6, Seneca will apply to the state Department of Commerce for the release of CDBG funds—Community Development Block Grant money—toward building the amphitheater on city-owned property between N. Townville Street and Stadium Drive.  The city envisions the amphitheater as a facility for city residents and tourists.  Seating capacity is estimated at two thousand.  There’s a provision for public comment.  Any individual, group or agency may submit written comments on the ERR (Environmental Review Record) to the office of the city administrator.  All comments received by Thursday, January 5 are to be considered by the city, before the authority of submitting a request for the release of CDBG funds.
