How to keep down an air conditioning bill in hot weather

Summer temperatures are one cause of higher bills, and Duke Energy reminds customers to check the latest assistance programs to keep bills in check.  Summer has begun to settle in across the state.  The cost of fuels to make energy has also increased, but Duke says it does not profit from fuel costs.  Duke customer help falls into three categories:  energy efficiency, which helps customers use less; flexible payment options; and programs for income-qualified customers.
