Home violence case settled by court action

A plea of guilty resolved a domestic violence case today in the Oconee General Sessions Court.  An Oconee man, Tracy Lee Fowler, pleaded guilty to domestic violence first degree.  Fowler was ordered by the judge to serve a sentence of ten years in prison, suspended to six years, to be followed by five years’ probation.  Judge Cordell Maddox heard from the victim in the incident, a female, who according to the prosecution, was beaten.  Among her injuries, said assistant solicitor Blair Stoudemire, a broken arm. A rod has been placed to mend the arm.  In court, defendant Fowler apologized to the victim.
