High winds pummeled two S. Union barns

Monday (August 7) is becoming a distant memory to many, but not if the high winds of that day created scary conditions where you were.  A Fair Play couple, Terry and Tim Swain, are left with the job of having to repair two of their barns that were hit by high winds in South Union at the back of their farm.  One of their neighbors wonders if there was a micro-burst, and the Swains wonder if what happened late Monday was a tornado.  101.7/WGOG NEWS checked with the National Weather Service at Greenville-Spartanburg and learned from meteorologist Patrick Moore that there were so many reports of high winds Monday from all across the Upstate that it was difficult to track all of the damage.  The NWS received high wind reports from the Seneca, Long Creek, and Townville areas.
