Hart maintains conservatives under attack

District Five’s Glenn Hart makes reference to the state’s intentions to prosecute Hart’s suspended colleague, District Two’s Matthew Durham.  Hart credits Durham with leading a conservative movement in Oconee—a county in which the voters have solidly voted red instead of blue.  Durham faces charges arising from an investigation of domestic crimes, but Hart writes:  “The latest attempt is to use previous marital discourse to maliciously prosecute Mr. Durham.”  The suspended councilman’s attorney has filed papers with the county clerk of court to show that Durham and his wife have reconciled and she won’t willingly take part in the prosecution Durham and his wife have reconciled and she won’t willingly take part in the prosecution.
