Hart lashes out at county spending

One sip from a cup of coffee this morning was not enough for an outspoken Oconee County councilman to tamp down his ire over county government’s spending trends.  Increasing the next budget expenditures is just too much, in the estimation of District Five’s Glenn Hart, and he vows to cast what’s liable to be a minority vote when the county’s $60.5 million spending measure is presented for a final vote June 7.  In an interview to air today on 101.7/WGOG NEWS, Hart explains that county residents he’s spoken to believe, like him, that additional spending during inflation is wrong, even though the county’s growing tax base is generating additional revenues.
