GOP voters get to tackle a judicial reform question

If you’re voting in the South Carolina preference primary for a GOP candidate for president, you also get to weigh in on the subject of judicial selection reform.  To some, there’s controversy as to what changes, if any, should be made in how South Carolina elects its judges.  The men and women who wear the robes and administer justice are not elected by the general voting population.  Instead they are selected in votes by both chambers of the state legislature, following a merit selection review process.  On the 5 broadcast  news today, Senator Thomas Alexander evaluates the advisory ballot question and gives his take on whether it’s time to make some changes in the system.
