GOP dukes it out in Westminster court

The legal contest that played out yesterday took place in small claims court in Westminster.  But, as one of the parties explained, the stakes were high.  Those Oconee Republicans now in leadership roles within the county party are attempting to wrest from David McMahan and colleagues of the deposed chairman materials such as emails and membership lists.  The arguments before Magistrate Will Derrick lasted in excess of two hours, with Judge Derrick promising he’ll make a decision before Thanksgiving week quitting time tomorrow afternoon.
