Friday night weather forced many to take cover

Nature was unkind to the Walhalla Razorbacks and their Friday night home football opener.  The Hogs were forced to resume their game (an eventual loss) the following day.  Although nary a rain drop fell on this side of Walhalla, was not the case in other parts of Oconee.  An example was a residential area in southern Oconee between SC 11 and 182.  At one home, trees fell in the yard and the roof blew away from a barn at a neighbor’s home. All across Oconee, lightning flashed in a beautiful but scary way.
