Fred Hamilton was a 56-year educator

Fred P. Hamilton, retired Oconee educator, died Monday at the Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.  He was 95 years old and the husband of Beatrice Hamilton.  Fred Hamilton spent 56 years in the business of education which included five consecutive terms as Oconee Superintendent of Education.  The family will receive friends 11 am to 1:30 pm tomorrow at Trinity Baptist Church; funeral service 2 pm at the church and burial to follow in Oconee Memorial Park.
