Four rural Oconee bridges targeted for re-build

Four bridges in rural Oconee have been identified by the DOT as worthy to be considered for the state’s Transportation Improvement Plan. But first, however, the state agency would like public opinion about the four:  Snow Creek Road over Snow Creek; Burns Mill Road over Little Cane Creek; Stamp Creek Road over Stamp Creek; and Chattooga Ridge Road over Village Creek.  The public may comment on the state’s Transportation Improvement Program—specifically the timetable for preliminary engineering, right-of-way, and construction phases for the designated projects.  The public comment period runs through October 10.  Comments should be forwarded to Ms. Syrees Gillens Oliver, Public Involvement Director, SCDOT, Environmental Services Office, 955 Park Street, P. O. Box 191, Columbia, S.C.  29202 or by email at [email protected]
