Four escaped this morning’s Westminster flames

Fire destroyed a home this morning at Westminster, but all four occupants made it out without injury.  Chief Michael Smith of city fire department says the scene at 199 Arintha Drive off U-S 76, the Long Creek Highway, the location of an investigation to determine why the fire started, although he said, the origin appears to be at the back of the stick-built home.  It was a fire that sent smoke high into the air and could be scene for considerable distance.  The call came shortly before the 8 o’clock hour this morning, and the city fire department received help from other parts of the county.
