Former bank may convert to an animal hospital
A new use has been identified for an empty commercial building near Keowee Key. The building that had housed a bank may now be used as an animal hospital, to be operated by a Keowee Key property. Several neighbors and friends of veterinarian Monica Milasnovich Parker say they’ll welcome the facility. Monday night Parker secured a special exception that changes the commercial use of the building. However, questions and concerns voiced to the county board of zoning appeals led the board to attach conditions, such as a prohibition to allow pets kept their treatment to roam on the outside the three thousand square foot building. The location is 8233 Rochester Highway, Salem.
