For 37 Seneca students, an unforgettable life experience

Photographs taken and the memories brought back are telling the story of a trip to New York City by 37 Seneca High School chorus students.  Accompanied by 17 adults, the Seneca chorus performed April 16 at Carnegie Hall.  Conducted by Dr. Allyss Haecker, they sang three songs and received a standing ovation after having been part of eight hours of rehearsals with choirs from across the country.  The historic Carnegie Hall was one thing, the Big Apple quite another.  In the city, about which Sinatra sang the line, “If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere”, the Seneca students took in a Broadway musical, took in the views from high above the Rockefeller Center, visited the 9-11 Memorial, dined at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, and  took a harbor cruiser around Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.
