Fireworks–July 4

Individually or done professionally, fireworks dotted the sky over Oconee, as independence from the mother country was observed last night in the county.  Apparently, none of the incendiaries led to fires, but the county’s dispatchers received their usual number of complaints from citizens.  In some locales, the blasting of fireworks emitted a sound comparable to the sound made by dynamite, making sleep difficult for those who retired early and scary for a number of pet cats and dogs.
