Fire and mountain rescue near Walhalla

Walhalla Fire and Rescue finished the weekend with the rescue of a visitor to Yellow Branch Falls and a fire in an abandoned structure.  According to the fire department, last night’s late hour fire burned a structure on the Hesse Highway which, at the time, was being dismantled.  A visitor late yesterday afternoon to Yellow Branch Falls received a rescue for a possible broken ankle.  That accident occurred midway between the highway 28 entrance and the waterfalls.
