Final petition count expected today

Chief Kevin Christenbury of the Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department says he has an appointment today with the Oconee Elections Office.  Topic A likely to be those petition signatures that the fire station has been gathering to qualify for a ballot proposition in which voters in the fire department service territory would get to vote on creating a special tax district, similar to that which the Keowee Fire Department enjoys across the Lake Keowee home and business developments that it serves.  Going into today, Christenbury says the signature count stood at a little more than 800 people in favor of placing the question on a ballot.
