Final (AMI) report to account for a controversial charge

Some disappointment could be sensed last night when the Westminster administrator was unable to produce a report detailing how much the city collected through its Automatic Metering fee that assessed customers $7 dollars a month.  But Kevin Bronson, the administrator, promised that the accounting in the form of a special audit will be available to the city council in ten day, after which city fathers may consider their options.  The fee was collected for several years, but was recently removed.  There is the thought that the city might find itself in a position of being able to refund their customers a portion of what was paid, if the special audit shows the city collected more than it spent.
