Fair Play business burgled

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in regards to a burglary investigation at a Fair Play area business near the Anderson County line.

 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is also seeking to identify an individual in relation to the incident.

 

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to the L&C Farm and Garden on E. Fairplay Boulevard during the early morning hours of Friday, May 20th in regards to first an alarm call, followed by a burglary call.  The deputy spoke with the owner, who stated that entry was made into the store and some money and a firearm was stolen.

 

The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Bureau.  The burglar was wearing a mask and was carrying a large backpack.

 

If you have any information regarding a burglary that occurred early Friday morning, May 20th, at the L&C Farm and Garden on E. Fairplay Boulevard, or were traveling on Highway 243 near I-85 in southern Oconee County between 4am and 5:30am that morning, and observed anything suspicious, you are asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office at 864-718-1052.
