Equine therapeutic center playground near Seneca

A ceremony on Saturday near Seneca memorialized two Oconee fallen marines, and the event volunteers marked the occasion by dedicating a new playground that Wild Hearts Equine may use to serve its clients and their family members.  The playground was built from scratch by volunteers from BASF’s VETS team, an employee group of veterans dedicated to community service.  The new playground includes ladders, rings, a rock wall and a slide, along with a swing that accommodates children in wheelchairs.  The swing was donated by the Marine Corps League Detachment 1131 to honor two members—the late Clarence “Dell” Williams and Argyle “Skip” Wakeman Jr.  The Wild Hearts Equine Therapeutic Center is a nonprofit that makes connections people and horses.
