Elderly woman killed in rural Oconee wreck

A 73-year-old Seneca woman died at the scene of a two-car accident late yesterday morning at a rural Oconee County intersection.  The coroner identifies the deceased as Mildred Towe Kelley.  According to the state patrol report, at the time Kelley’s car attempted to cross 183, the Pickens Highway, from Wolfstake Church Road and collided with a car driven by a Dillard, Georgia resident, who was not hurt.  Coroner Addis says Kelley died of blunt force trauma.  The accident remains under investigation.  9-1-1 received a call around 11 am reporting the accident.
