Eight years later, Hipps’ death remains unsolved

In the last year, according to a spokeswoman for the Oconee Sheriff, “some tips” arrived which investigators followed, but could not solve the mysterious death of Tucker Hipps.  The year was 2014 when Hipps, a Clemson student, went on a pre-dawn run, and the body was found in Lake Hartwell.  Over the years, reward money has been posted as a way to gather information that can help law enforcement solve what happened.  Helen Westmoreland of the sheriff’s office says the total reward money available, through the end of December 2022, stands at $100 thousand dollars.
