Economic development matters for the county’s leaders

Economic development matters highlight the agendas for two meetings next week of Oconee County Council.  Those matters are shrouded in secrecy as, in at least one instance, they are to be heard in executive session.  The executive session, to follow council’s regular first Tuesday December meeting, include the economic development matters titled “Greenpaw” and PrePoly.  There’s also discussion proposed for the potential for property acquisition for economic development purposes.  And the following day–on Wednesday morning–the council is asked to reconvene to consider second reading of an ordinance for a fee-in-place-of-tax with the company PrePoly.
