Economic development group holds membership meeting

The Oconee Economic Alliance, the public-private group which serves as the county’s office of economic development, held its annual membership meeting last week, after an absence of one-year due to the pandemic.  Amanda Brock says it was a nice evening at Keowee Key and featured remarks by a representative of the South Carolina Department of Commerce.  Brock, the Oconee County administrator, occupies a seat on the board of the county economic alliance.  The organization has been operating in recent months since the resignation of its executive director, Annie Caggiano.  Brock says the search continues for what she called “the perfect candidate” to succeed Caggiano.
