Duncan offers 10 bills in the 118th Congress

Jeff Duncan, 3rd District member of the U-S House, is touting 10 pieces of legislation introduced, according to his office, at the start of the 118th Congress in Washington.  Here are a few of the examples offered by the Laurens Republican:  a resolution to forbid the release of GITMO prisoners into the U-S; the “Rush Was Right” bill, a measure to prevent FCC from re-imposing the Fairness Doctrine, which requires broadcast permit holders to air both sides of a controversial issue; and the “Competition in Professional Baseball Act” which would eliminate Major League Baseball’s anti-trust exemption.  This bill, Duncan’s office explains, was first filed in 2021 when the MLB commissioner removed the All-Star game in Atlanta over concerns over the state’s election reform legislation.
