Driverless truck crashes into parked car

A 49-year old Walhallan was issued five traffic citations by the city police after the pickup truck that he left in a convenience store parking lot rolled into a parked car across the street.  A policeman quoted Josue Gomez as saying he was unaware that he didn’t leave the pickup in park gear.  The owner of the car struck by the pickup, Chanda Michelle Harper, told the police she was inside the AAA Bails Bond business and heard a loud bang from outside the business.  According to the jail booking report, Gomez was cited for uninsured motor vehicle fee violation; operating unregistered vehicle; use of license plates other than vehicle issued; driving under suspension; and leaving scene of accident unattended vehicle.
