Departing Walhalla public servants

An honor and a satisfaction of achievement for the public good is the attitude that a trio of Walhalla elected leaders embrace as they leave city hall and service to the community.  The December meeting of Walhalla City Council was the last for Mayor Danny Edwards and councilmen Danny Woodward and David Underwood.  The three stood down at November election time and are to be succeeded January 1 by Tim Hall, the mayor-elect, and councilmen-elect Josh Holliday and Josh Thomas.  City council last night also passed a resolution in honor of retiring city worker Dennis Pearson.  Over 40 years, Pearson worked a variety of city jobs — among them recreation for which he designed and built the city’s disc golf course.
